Beaches
Starting in the south west of County Wexford at Duncannon Beach and moving on to: Booley Bay, Dollar Bay, The Hook Peninsula, Cullenston Strand, Kilmore Quay, Rosslare Strand, Morriscastle Strand, Curracloe Beach, visitors can choose a different beach for each day of their holiday!
Duncannon beach – (20 minute drive) is suitable for families and has access onto the beach for cars. Many festival and events take place throughout the year in Duncannon. To name a few there is the 8km ‘Turkey Burner’ race after Christmas; The Military Re-enactment – June Bank Holiday weekend; The annual international Sand Sculpting Festival takes place during the August Bank Holiday weekend and provides lots of entertainment for all age groups with beach parties, fireworks and face painting. Water sports such as boarding, sailing, sea-canoeing, dingy sailing, snorkelling and other outdoor activities are very popular in this region.
